Miguel Araújo Oliveira has published a unique academic study of historical importance on censorship during the ruthless dictatorship of Adolf Hitler. Oliveira’s critical investigation focuses particularly on the works of John Dos Passos. The text reveals the reasons why Dos Passos’s books were burned and later banned and why the writer didn’t conform to the “new literature” promoted by the Nazis.
