Drinks, in some form or another, share a long and colourful history with mankind. Needless to say, without the right amount of fluids the human body will quickly whither away and die. So if drinks are the aqua vitae, then poetry is the aqua animae. Down the Hatch, is a collection of well crafted poems which take you through the interesting and varied history of the many popular drinks we have come to know and love today. Sip back and relax as you enjoy a poetic journey through time.
