Born in Liverpool, England, Lee Smith grew up on the rough and ready streets of a deprived council estate in the city back in the late eighties and nineties. Lee proudly served in HM Forces having completed tours of Iraq and Afghanistan. Lee then went on to become a security consultant, engaging in close protection assignments and anti-piracy operations in the middle east. Now, fulfilling a lifetime ambition, Lee has become an aspiring author, bringing the Max Dauntless stories to life. During his spare time, Lee is a keen fitness enthusiast having taken part in marathons and other long distance running events.
