Annette Austin is a short story and self-published author. She has written seven novels covering the genres of historical romance, contemporary romance, science fiction and crime fiction. Her first novel, ‘The Fall of the House of James,’ spent some time at the Number 1 spot on Amazon (History of Antebellum U.S. Chart.) All five of the books in The James Saga have garnered five-star reviews on Amazon. Recently, Annette has begun to write short stories again under her real name. Two of her short stories, ‘The Bondage Tribe,’ and ‘The Well of Life,’ have been published in the Alternate History and Hidden Realms Short Stories Anthologies by Flame Tree Publishing in 2023. The Devil Within,’ has also received a five-star review on Amazon. She hopes to write more novels in The Ophelia Hanson Series. ‘To Sleep With A Stranger,’ is Annette’s first contemporary romance novel. She will continue the Complete Strangers to Fiery Lovers series in ‘A Certain Kind of Heartbreak.’ Before embarking on a writing career, Annette predominantly had a career in finance. She started writing her first novel in December 2012, with ‘The Fall of the House of James,’ finally being released in June 2018. Annette will resume working on The James Saga, writing the sixth instalment, ‘The Taste of Revenge,’ shortly. Away from writing, Annette loves to read, exercise, especially yoga, sings loudly to 1980s pop music, and loves watching sports.
