Following their daughter's death, Adam and Eve Smith set out on a journey that takes them through time (including a difficult chat with God and happier one with Prometheus) and through space (to the three great beginnings - the beginning of the universe, the birth of life and the emergence of human consciousness). In their quest for meaning, they are impeded and threatened by Nick Peters (an accomplished Breaker) and the Dawks. It's a book that will stretch your imagination.
