Synopsis
Anna has the perfect life. She is charming, young and beautiful. She lives in a sought-after location in London with her doting husband, David. She is close to her parents and has a supportive group of friends. She has never wanted for anything and always gets her way. But things are not always as they seem…
Could a minor, inconsequential accident on a cold Valentine’s Day alter the trajectory of Anna’s life?
It is human nature to question how pivotal events have shaped our lives and those closest to us. We are often left wondering how things could have turned out if the cards had fallen differently. The reader discovers the impact that one moment has on Anna’s future and the consequences for all that she holds dear.
Who doesn’t wonder: what if life had taken a different path?

Excerpt from What If?
Gary opened the car door for Belle and she practically fell into the front passenger seat.
‘Ah, I shouldn’t have had that last glass.’
‘Told you so,’ Gary said. He was laughing as he started the engine.
It was busy for a rainy Tuesday in the middle of February. Couples walked close together, some of the women clutching red roses and teddy bears. Belle’s phone started to ring as Gary turned onto the High Street.
‘Ah, where is it? Where’s my bloody phone?’
‘Erm, it’s in your hand,’ Gary said as he looked over at her.
‘Oh. Shit, it’s David.’
Belle dropped her phone and it slid onto the floor of the driver’s seat.
‘Ah, come on sodding phone,’ Belle murmured as she tried to find it.
‘Stop, Belle, that’s my foot. We’ll find it when I drop you off.’
She ignored him and continued to rummage around Gary’s feet as her phone started ringing again.
‘Belle, I can’t reach the brakes.’
‘BELLE!’
She lifted her head just as they slammed into a car that had stopped in front of a red traffic light. Everything went black.
